Template library

Browse Meta's pre-built Utility and Authentication template references and create templates directly from the library — from Resources → Template library.

The Template Library is a catalogue of ready-made message templates that Meta maintains for common use cases. Creating a template directly from a library entry usually passes review immediately. You can also customize a library template before submitting — in that case it goes through normal review like any other template.

Browsing and filtering

Templates appear as a grid of preview cards, each rendered the way the message looks in WhatsApp — body, footer, and any buttons — with the template's original name shown along the bottom.

  • Search — type in the Search templates… box to match against the template name and body text.
  • CategoryAll, Utility, or Authentication. (Marketing templates are not part of the library; you author those yourself.)
  • Topic, Use case, and Industry — narrow the results further by what the template is for.

Creating templates from the library

Click a template card and the system opens the creation page with the template content pre-filled. You can fill in the template name and any other configurable fields (buttons, variables, etc.) and submit directly. Click Customize to modify the template structure — note that customizing triggers a normal Meta review rather than instant approval. After creation, the new template appears in Resources → Message templates with its source marked as Library.
